This is a revised and restructured version to the one posted in plain text to
newsgroup alt.tv.shaggable.babes
at the end of December 2000. There are many new additions in the television section
and a couple of erroneous entries have been removed.
It is a much less detailed effort than the one done for 2001 and beyond. This list
was compiled retrospectively, hence there are no sources or dates because I didn't keep a
note of that information at the time.
Topless Review of the Year 2000
I've compiled the following list of female celebrities and actresses that were uncovered
this year. A lot of them are "first-timers" and most are UK celebs (or if not
then well known in the UK).
The entries are in alphabetical surname order within each section

(Note: although "paparazzi" covers most any type
of unposed/candid photo of a celebrity, in the context I'm using it below it means beach
or sunbathing photos).

paparazzi and nipple slip (two separate items)
- Victoria Beckham (Singer/Spice Girls)- a couple
of nipple slips at outdoor concerts.
- Bond (Eos, Haylie Ecker, Tania Davis, Gay-Yee Westerhoff) girls from
pop group Bond sitting naked but hugging their legs to hide all nudity. (may have come
from a magazine originally)
- Kelly Brook (Presenter) topless publicity shot
from a stage play.
- Sophie Dahl (Supermodel) topless in Opium
poster advert.
- Anne-Marie Davis (Brookside) topless paparazzi.
- Lisa Faulkner (Holby City) topless paparazzi.
- Angela Griffin (Holby City) topless paparazzi.
- Lady Victoria Hervey (an IT Girl) side view
wearing a plunging black dress with the far breast visible.
- Amanda Holden (Kiss Me Kate, The Grimleys)
topless paparazzi.
- Elizabeth Hurley (Actress) a nipple slip at a
celebrity event wearing a very low-cut silver dress.
- Kerry Katona (Singer/Atomic Kitten) - topless
modelling shots from before she was famous.

session in Burnside
- Joanne Froggatt (Coronation Street) topless in
TV play Nature Boy.
- Julie Graham topless in TV Plays Dirty Tricks and With or
Without You.
- Sienna Guillory bare back seen while taking a shower in TV Serial Take
A Girl Like You. The side of one breast is momentarily seen as she turns around when
the landlord enters the bathroom just before the picture cuts away.
- Claudia Harrison topless in TV series, Attachments.
- Emily Hamilton topless in TV series, Headless.
- Emma Harding topless in Hollyoaks Special - Boys Do Barca.
- Dervla Kirwin (Goodnight Sweetheart, Ballykissangel)
topless in TV play With or Without You
- Simone Lahbib (Bad Girls) topless in a 30-min
short called Long Haul which premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival on 30 Sept
2000 and was on TV in October.
- Helen McCrory (North Square/In a Land of Plenty)
topless in TV Play, Anna Karenina.
- Poppy Miller topless in TV series Attachments (but you don't
see her face).
- Rebecca Palmer topless in TV serial, A Likeness in Stone.
- Lisa Rogers (Presenter) topless in TV series Lock

- Natalie Roles (The Bill) topless in TV serial, Take
A Girl Like You.
- Laura Sadler (Holby City, Grange Hill, Belfry Witches)
topless in TV film Anchor Me.
- Lesley Sharp topless in TV play Nature Boy.

- Wendy Turner (Presenter and sister of Anthea)
topless paparazzi.
(The reason I'm not sure is because I missed them in the papers and
saw them for the first time when I came on the internet in mid-2000 so I didn't know how
long they've been around)
The following are from 2000 but are maybes for the reasons shown.
- Jennifer Aniston (Friends) topless
paparazzi? Her face not seen - may not be her.
- Jennifer Ellison (Brookside) - possible nipple
slip in Brookside?
- Lorraine Kelly (Presenter) nude? - may have
been fakes.
- Shaznay Lewis (All Saints) - there was a shot
of her flashing her breasts posted from the Sport but I never really established if it was
a fake or not.
- Britney Spears (Singer) - there were several
claims of Britney nipple slips but I don't think any of them were accurate - just wishful
thinking.
I've not included any of the posed lad's mags shoots where a celebrity is technically
"topless" but actually covered with her arms folded or laying on her front or
with back to the camera, etc. To have made it onto the above list there has to be at
least a nipple on show. Although I think that one certain Katherine Heigl
shot from US Maxim deserves a mention for the most revealing "almost".
There were also a number of daring "necklines" when attending award
ceremonies and such-like. Whilst not a comprehensive list by any means, the
following spring to mind: Sheree Murphy, Jennifer Ellison,
Davina McCall, Stella McCartney & Emma
Bunton.
