TOPLESS REVIEW 2009

MAIN SECTIONS

The Topless Review was originally an attempt to keep a record of all the celebrity uncoverings that occur in Newspapers, Magazines, and on Television in the current year. However in more recent years coverage of Newspapers has fallen away due to a combination of reduced awareness of anything of relevance and seemingly less instances of what used to be a fairly frequent event. Magazines even more so.

Therefore it is only now the Television section that retains any concerted effort to be as comprehensive as possible.

Symbols Used (entries added since the last update will show the symbol in RED)

Feb 2009
J Peaches Geldof (Celebrity Daughter) - a series of topless snaps while on holiday at a South American beach resort - seen standing in the sea, and laying down sunbathing - she is wearing black briefs with white speckles. (News of the World 15/02/2009)

Above Suspicion (ITV1 - 04/01/2009) part 1 of 2
J Eunice Freitas ("Actress") - full frontal nudity as she walks out onto a first floor landing to complain to a make-up lady (Celia Williams) about her hair extensions when DC Anna Travis (Kelly Reilly) arrives at a Spanish villa to talk to a witness and looks up and sees her.
She is playing an actress in a blue movie that is being filmed elsewhere in the villa although it is irrelevant to the plot. The role was a very minor inconsequential bit-part with one line of dialogue - in many productions one wouldn't expect such a walk-on bit-part to even be credited and therefore I wouldn't bother noting it here. But since the credit was present I've given it a mention.

In the absence of many home-grown scenes to mention so far this year here is an entry for an American Showtime series from 2007 that is currently being aired on terrestrial TV which is of particular interest because of the involvement of British actress Jaime Murray.

Episode 5 - The Dark Defender (05/02/2009)
J Jaime Murray (Lila Tournay) - brief topless side view with her right breast seen from a medium distance as she gets into a hotel room shower while her friend Dexter (Michael C. Hall) speaks on the phone to his girlfriend - then brief rear nudity and topless in the shower with each breast seen in turn from the side as she washes when Dexter glances at her before going out.

J Rebecca Hall (Paula Garland) - the full side of her left breast is briefly seen while atop her lover Eddie (Andrew Garfield) during a lovemaking scene on a bed - possibly no nipple nudity seen.

J Emily Wachter (Claire) - Topless laying in bed talking to her boyfriend Jamian (James Floyd) as they talk and smoke - with her left breast seen above the sheets at first and then her right breast as she turns over to face him.

(A 30-minute lunchtime programme in which an artist paints or draws a nude model. The model is shown on screen the entire time to allow the viewer to take part and have a go at life drawing).
NOTE: Her profession was shown as "Fashion Model" and represented by Select Model Management.

Freefall (BBC2 - 14/07/2009)
J Laura Ainsworth (Attractive Girl 1) & J Mona Goodwin (Attractive Girl 2) - Topless laying asleep in bed either side of financial high-flyer Dave Matthews (Dominic Cooper).
One is blonde and the other brunette although the drama does not make it clear which actress is playing which of the two "attractive girls" - they have non-speaking acting roles and are also seen in an earlier scene when Dave picks them up in a nightclub. IDENTIFICATIONS. Laura Ainsworth is the blonde girl identified by a picture on her Spotlight entry which also indicates that her character in this drama was called "Sarah" although she is not named in the dialogue or indicated as such in the credits - this could possibly mean that the role was originally bigger and edited down for the final cut. An online picture of Mona Goodwin confirms she has dark hair.

Whatever It Takes (ITV1 - 26/07/2009)
J Amy Beth Hayes (Daisy Cockram) - topless with her hands over her breasts and then later wearing heart shaped tassels as she poses in a studio for some glamour photos that she has been persuaded are needed to accompany her kiss-and-tell tabloid story • topless with her hands over her breasts as she appraises herself in a bathroom mirror.
L After that her character gets a boob job and so in two subsequent fully topless scenes the breasts seen are not really hers but prosthetic overlays. These scenes are a lovemaking scene on a sofa with her boyfriend Matthew (Gary Lucy); and a scene when she gets out of a bed and leaves the hotel room to set Matthew up for a tabloid sex scandal with a prostitute.
